Zach grew up surrounded by theatricality, cementing itself into a career path when he almost (literally) broke a leg, falling off the stage whilst performing Peter Rabbit in grade 4. While his passion for the performing arts intensified, his spatial awareness has, more or less, remained the same.

Growing up, his parents ran a dinner theatre in Ottawa, ON, Canada. When he was eight, he saw his father play “Rick” in their homage to Casablanca. He was hooked. He would go on to work for their company, first sweeping stages and mopping up stage blood, then performing and eventually directing their productions.

Zach studied Theatre Arts at Algonquin College.  In addition to acting and directing, he also opted to study technical production. Given his background, he supplemented the early stages of his career by designing special effects for theatre and film, which eventually opened the doors to magic.

Like so many others, Zach received a magic kit when he was young…and promptly ignored it, once he discovered the kit contained no actual occult tomes or mystical artifacts granting him instant arcane abilities. He preferred his imagination to the countless hours of discipline required to grasp sleight of hand. He would revisit magic many years later, and fall in love with it.

Several years into his career, he would discover a similar love for musical theatre and dance, and has been working professionally on stage and on camera since 2006.
